So a couple of years ago i went on a kick to try and make all of my female family members socks, but i had a lot of lonely socks that never got their mate, so this year i decided to make my goal attainable and only 2 of my sisters would get mittens and the other would get a kit, because she's a knitter too!

So first up are the Chevron Love mittens!

this picture is much truer to the colors than the one below it

I absolutely loved knitting these, I love fair isle, i love all the colors, i love the yarn, everything!

And next up are the End of May Mittens!

the image on the left is the palm side of the mitten

oOoohhh!! I LOVE mittens. I adore the red and white pattern. I really want to attempt a pair.Though, I'm still pretty much a noob when it comes to knitting. I'm just barely getting around to knitting my first pair of socks.

those are beautiful, I like the second pair especially.  Red and white is so classic.

If it had grown up, it would have made a dreadfully ugly child; but it makes rather a handsome pig, I think.

thank you! I think the colors are a bit off in the pics, the flower mittens are a light red almost dark pinkish, and the zig zags have hot pink and light pink although they look a little purpley in the pic

the braid is called latvian braid, if you google it you'll find plenty of instructions, its pretty simple to do and i love the way it looks! there's a "how to" in the zig zag pattern i bought and i had used it once before on a free hat pattern i found on ravelry
