Hello!  This is actually my first post on Craftster though I've been lurking for awhile.  On the off chance that this thread still gets checked, yes please, there should definitely be an Erie Craftster gathering of sorts.  That'd be super spiffy!  I'm in Fairview if anyone is around there.

i'm in titusville... too far for a weekly trip. but glad to see someone from the area.
titusville is having it's 150th birthday for the discovery of oil in august,2009
they have a craft sho- it will be two days this year.
but because of the expected crowds, hotels already booked, the prices for the show have went up.
you must be there for both days, august 29 and 30th.
i am looking for two crafters to share a  12x24 space with. that way, we can share costs, and all make money.
ii would like it, if we all had different crafts to show, i make dolls.

I'm a beginner knitter and sewer, love most kinds of art and craftiness, so I would be interested in any sort of meet up.

Speaking of LYS, in addition to Cultured Purl, check out Rustic and Refined 2598 W 8th St.
Similar to Cultured Purl, it has awesome specialty yarn but a much larger selection, tons of gorgeous yarn in crazy textures and rich fibers, none of which I have been able to afford yet....but it's good for browsing and drooling right now. 
Personally I think AC Moore has the best yarn selection in Erie if you are on a budget and looking for plain ol' yarn.

Another terrific LYS is Butler Country Stitches in Waterford. Awesome people and pretty yarns, but a bit high in prices. I got nice sock yarn there and the owners are great! Plymouth Happy Feet yarn is pretty reasonable there.

I'll have to check out R & R on 8th street.

It's hard to get people together....I was thinking people might like to meet up in Edinboro once the Singing Bowl Cafe re-opens! I got to eat there once before they closed. I'm an omnivore and I LOVED the sandwiches and tried a bit of fish-free sushi there!
