I don't know if I could get over thier burnt look to get my self to bite into it!!! I'm sure they are delicious, just a matter of convincing the mind Smiley
I know I could! Especially if they smelled like ginger or anise!
Flashback... when I was 5 my mom one day decided to make Green Eggs and ham... If you have a memory for Dr. Suess Children's books... "Who
will try Green Eggs And Ham"? I thought when she said she was making them... it's only food coloring. But when she actually put that stuff on the plate... It was too sick to look at, let alone eat!
But, I think I could handle these cookies!
Thanks for posting the recipie! I'm giving it to Mom!

Any cookie would work - it just a matter of using the black colouring and sprinkles Cheesy

I don't know if Walmart would carry it.  I bought it at Bulk Barn, a Canadian chain that carries a lot of cake making and decorating supplies.  They have a very good selection of liquid and paste colourings.  It's made by Wilton, so if you know of a place that carries Wilton gel/paste colourings, they should have it.

Michaels Arts and Crafts carry Wilton supplies, as well any specialty baking supplier. I believe they have thier own website too, I'll have to ask Mom if it can be ordered.

What an awesome idea! They really look like coal. I might have to make a batch for late presents.

How fun would it be to make the same it white and then these in the black. Put them in treat baggies labled nauty and nice and then pass them out to friends. I'm sure the nice would go quickly or you could give someone one bag of each! Letting them know they are the same cookie! Neat idea for next year!
