Thank you everyone! He did love it, woo hoo!

I printed on the fabric by using a temporary spray adhesive to glue some muslin to a sheet of cardstock and trimmed it to size to fit the printer. Then, just print like it's paper, and let the ink dry. Then peel off the cardstock. It's not washable, though.

For the Sculpey buttons. I poked holes through them before baking so I could sew them on after.

Wow, great work!!
One question - is the felt ok, with the fluff, and the fan part of the laptop? or do you need to line it with fabric?
Just wondering, i want to make one for my mum for her birthday, but dont want to jam up her laptop!

I don't think the fan/fluff is an issue, since it's meant to protect the laptop when not in use, and the fan isn't on when it's asleep or off in DH's bag.
