thankyou for all the comments  Smiley

i think that is interesting about the language difference so what would an american call the department that sells sewing notions and ribbons etc? Oh and what does "wisted" mean?

it was really fun to make - i wanted to make one with wooden cotton  reels and darning needles too but run out of time - i have a baywindow so i may make a couple more for next year!

I LOVE it! It reminds me of the small scale knit ball earrings but large and completely craftily gorgeous!

That's so cute!
I love the idea of the embroidery hoop. It blew my mind. Cheesy

There were a bunch of hoops for sale at the thrift store and now I wish I bought them.
I thought I had too many all ready, but now I know I don't.

I love your wreath!

Wisted means you WISH you had one and you place it on your List, so it then becomes "Wisted."  (that's my understanding of it)

Our sewing departments in our stores is just what you said, called "sewing notions" or listed as threads, buttons, zippers, etc.

Crocheting is like prostitution.  First you do it for love, and then for a few close friends, and then for money.  Maybe that is why they call us Hookers?

I'm not happy, I'm cheerful. There's a difference.

Love it!  Did you fashion the tape measures yourself?  I really should make something similar...but I'm afraid mine wouldn't be nearly so cute! Tongue But if I do,  I really should do it Right Now because I know that next year by the time I remember I'll be too busy!
