It is a truth universally acknowledged . . .

As a Christmas present for my good, deep-sea-creature loving friend, I made a giant squid!

He is huge! His body is about 2' and his tentacles are just as long again, so he's about four feet in total. Huge I tell you!

With tentacles all neat.

And crazy tentacles.

Inside all those tentacles, he has a little squid beak

His body and tentacles are made of off-white fleece. The tentacles have some beans in the end and a little bit of fluff to hold them down there so that they have a bit of floppy weight. The beak is made of black corduroy. And, the best part:

He's eating my arm! There is a belly beyond that beak!

It's a pouch made of red fleece.

Inside his squidy gullet are some of the things he has eaten.

A sperm whale, the Yellow Submarine, and a yeti.

But even after that meal, he's still hungry (he didn't get to be a giant squid by doing nothing, you know), so he decided to make a meal of a nearby corgi!

This is wonderful! It looks so cuddly, and I love all the things that come out of the stomach. Love it!

Anyone have a couple extra felting needles? I'll trade for them!

Great job! I didn't realize that yeti was part of the giant squid diet. You learn something new every day! Grin
