MareMare, that sounds WONDERFUL.  *sigh*  Come on, spring!

Right now, outside is a sheet of ice.  The snow, slush, and standing water from the previous rains are all freezing solid in what the weather dudes are calling an Arctic blast -- 30mps+ winds and zero - subzero windchills.

Still waiting for kiddo to go back to school.  I hope the roads are safe in the morning.  There was a bad multivehicle wreck that closed part of Main St. this afternoon.

The funny things about having to wait a few extra days to mail my box to lydiaharper is that I keep adding to it.  LOL

I'm completely enjoying the Frugalong that has spun off of this swap, but I am still hoping for further rounds of swapping! Smiley

We got 24 inches of snow on Fri-Sat, and are expecting up to 18 tonight/tomorrow.  At least I'm saving gas in not going to work, right?  That's frugal ...

Oh, they're calling it the Snowpocalypse, though I think I prefer Snowmageddon.

But I am making frugal choices while snowed in - making soup and today I made spaghetti sauce that'll be easy to reheat so I won't order in or get food on the way home!

Yep, smitten - I'm about 15 miles north of Bethesda, Maryland (Clarksburg - up 270, if that helps).  It's evil.

I planted garlic today in the pots on my balcony - I know it's a bit late, but I figure some people plant it in November and some on the winter equinox so ... we'll see. Smiley

In a sense, I guess I'm glad I live somewhere totally predictable.  And somewhere that predictable doesn't mean occasional wind storms and constant rain (like Seattle..where I grew up).  It's really warm here right now - a balmy -10C/14F.  And I'm not joking - I went outside to start my van because it was a bit frosty and that was my exact thought  "wow! it's warm!"  I do long for spring and summer but I feel awful for people who get winter like some of you are!  We may have it for a LONG time and it does get really cold, but we're used to it, so it's easier to stand.  MareMare, I was chuckling at what you said about where you live - my sister lives in Gresham and my mom in Springfield and they're always going on about the weather being so warm!  My mom took my nephew to the park yesterday..our parks are covered in two or three feet of snow!

I agree with Aiki - I'm enjoying the FrugAlong but would love to get in on Round 2 of this swap if it happens again.  Judging by its popularity this time around, I can't imagine it not happening!  I think I'm going to hold off on any longer swaps until after the baby is born, though..I'd hate to sign up and then have it come early and not be able to finish on time.  Not to mention my goal to reduce my swaps for money saving reasons.  Although that's why I loved this one - I only spent $4 on it!!

I'm planning on organizing another round in April or so. Smiley   Gives everyone a bit of rest and allows us to get more of a stash. Wink
