I've made a whole bunch of stuff for MommytheMaid and haven't had to purchase a single thing yet. I can't decide if that is super awesome or if it means that I have a really bad fabric problem.

I think it's a fabric problem cause I have one too, and a yarn problem considering how little I use it I seem to have tons of it here.

I am in the middle of a medium now with 1 more small to do and then I will be ready to post.

Mind you I am suppose to be making a new handbag as mine broke 2 days ago..... but it's to damn hot to move.....
over 40 yesterday and getting back up there today.
My back aches....to hot for a heat pack .....

I have had to stop myself already I have 4-5 smalls 1 medium finished, 1 med in process.....I have a ton more ideas in mind too.
I scrapped my large after I finished it cause I thought it looked crappy. I still have it just not going to send it.

Life is a terminal disease, NO one gets out alive.....The idea is to enjoy it while you can.

I can't keep up either!! This swap obviously has a really friendly, chatty bunch of people involved!! Hope the 'soda ash' thing helps some of you. I found it out of desperation because none of the shops here knew what I was talking about when I asked for 'washing soda' or even sodium carbonate!

i have to stop crafting for a week because i need to get our self employed taxes done. *boo* then i can finish my last two items and send on time. BUT i have a reward waiting for me! my mum's christmas present to me was that she will take me to the crafting and stitching show in Brighton, and then for lunch after, on the weekend that we have to send! Yay ^_^

My medium is done, I'm just adding some embellishments. Smiley One set of smalls is done, the other is actually still hanging off my sewing machine, mostly done. I got interrupted by small children a couple days ago and haven't made it back there yet.

Saw the Michael's flyer in the Sunday paper and they have yarn on sale! I know, not frugal to go buy more yarn. But here's the plan: I'm going to get wool and make a couple mats and felt them to use as soakers under my girls' sheets. Same idea as wool soaker pants for cloth diapers, only this time to preserve the mattress. I figure I can make one a whole lot cheaper than buying one ready-made.

Thanks for the tip on Ace Hardware and the soda ash, whoever that was!

Okay. I'm done! Honestly, I was going to make a few more things but they wouldn't fit in the box!  Tongue

It's all stuffed into a box, note is written and it's sealed up, addressed and ready to go to the post office tomorrow.

Pixieval - when you get it, don't slice it open with a knife or blade. There are soft things on top that wouldn't do well being cut. I wrote a warning on it too (open w/scissors!) so you won't forget.  Grin

Woohoo! Baby Clark is on the way. Due October 24th.

I just finished something for SAHMama.  I got to use onegroovyday's serger and that was a lot of fun!  I'm having self control and will not buy a serger for myself.  Trying to be frugal and all, I just go to Mindy's for a crafting play date!  Wink
