I'm glad the list has grown to the extent it has. When I first joined we had good ideas, but not too many and I was wracking my brain to come up with something 'unexpected' but needed for my partner. Phew! Glad that's not the case. This way the package will be exactly what you need but a bigger surprise than before.

Also--have any of you tried book swapping sites like swaptree, BookMooch, or PaperBackSwap? It depends on what books you want, so make a list and make sure they're available from other members, but so far I've traded for about 7 books and a DVD using stuff I didn't read anymore. Kind of like international library loan, only you get to keep it and pass it on. Or donate to your library.

Speaking of libraries, I finally made it to mine yesterday. Bliss. I got many, many books on how to knit. So far its slow going, but I detect a teeny weeny bit of progress that's enough to motivate me to keep at it Smiley

Addendum to the main post #2:  "Also, if you have consistent and recent dings on feedback for poor communication or sending late, I may not approve your application."

Smiley  Just an FYI so we're all on the same page.

That's me probably out then. I seem to consistently send one or two days late. Not that I plan it that way. It's just that dedicated time-scheduling hates me.

Thank you for the link, Ma'am!!  Now that I've looked at one, I think I've seen them before!  They really are nifty little things, huh??   Cheesy

Now I'm gonna check out that book.

I know as a participant, I'd way rather be sent to a few days late than have poor communication through the whole thing.  I imagine I would feel the same as an organizer.

A book of cheap to make recipes would be nice!!  I just found the $5 recipe section on that website... I just may have to try a few out!

Inside a dog it's too dark to read.

So, this may be dorky but I'm working on an eBook of sorts for my partner. We sort of have a system at our house for groceries and cooking, so I'm hoping I can capture it in words. Hopefully it will be useful to my partner, and if not, hopefully it will be useful to someone. :-)
