Thanks for compiling a resource list. I haven't checked, but is there any chance you could put a link to the message in the first post of the thread? Then we don't have to try to find it when there are another 120 pages of chatter!

Smiley A link is on the first page, right below the link to the The List o' Frugality.

Yay - thanks for the resource list.  Might be good to put on page 1, too...?  BC I have a feeling we'll hit 200 pages before too long.

I made (dehydrated) onion soup mix this morning & I'm so excited about finding that recipe (Tosca Reno).  I like the convenience of mixes, but I'd rather have something from scratch (so you know what went into it).  It smells so good & you can either use it as soup, or in any recipe that calls for (Lipton) onion soup mix (like I have a meatloaf & spread recipe).  Does anyone have any recipes for other dehydrated type soup mixes?  Like mushroom and/or leek?

Now I'm off to craft!  Smiley

I have a Joey Green disclaimer.....

I don't agree with all that he is proposes. He has WONDERFUL ideas and I think that many of you will like what he has to say, a lot of his things are for sure frugal, as the point is to use what you have at home, HOWEVER I think some of his ideas are a bit wasteful ....like maxi pads on stuck to your knees for knee pads for example.

You also have to be careful of some of his advise if you are a all natural kind of gal. Not all of his stuff is 100% good for you. So you have to kind of read it all and then take what you want from it.

Now having said all of that, I do think his info is worth looking through. Wink

does anyone know where i can find lux flakes?

Lux flakes are plain soap flakes, I think it's an Australian brand, but you should be able to find something similar in the laundry aisle of your supermarket, if not you could grate plain soap to substitute.
