i'm sure a million of these have been posted, but here's my version.  i made these earlier today, using two matted frames i purchased at goodwill for 99 cents each.  i painted one coat of green paint (to expose a little wood) and used leftover black canson paper to cut out their silhouettes.

i have a pug and a sheltie-pomeranian.

OMG, that's so cute (and thrifty)!
I can't believe I've never thought to include our furry family members in silhouette portraits, duh, it's so neat!

That is an excellent idea. I would include the pet's name though in some fancy font somewhere on the white (or black) part. I would also put an index card on the back or large sticker/label with a little history of how my beloveds came to be with me. I think you are very clever.

I like those. I have been planning on doing something similar but have been too lazy lately. I want to do one for my dog, cat, and two birds.
