This is really cool! I love how it came out! The Three colours work great together. I've been thinking of doing something like this, but in little squares pieced together. I didn't think of applique. That might be an easier route, thanks for the great idea!

Thanks all. You know what is ridiculous? I didn't realize until this thread how much corduroy had complicated things - I went with it because I have a really, really limited selection of solid, woven fabrics right now, and cord was the only one in which I had black, white, and a reddish midtone. But now that you pointed it out, yes. Cord is lumpy, and stringy, and frays something awful. You've gone and gotten me all excited about doing this again, but in Not Corduroy this time.
