Skinny binding that is found in a drawer probably won't save any time just because it is already pressed and folded. 

Skinny binding is NOT a good choice for actually binding something you care about. 

If you have ever wrapped pasta around the tines of a fork that was wider, it would be best to avoid that binding.

On the up side, I got to use 2 different decorative stitches to hide the monstrosity. 

(BTW--great ideas in magazines don't always work out so great!)
