Hi! I notice most amigurumi I see seem to be adorable animals, or children. I'd like to make a doll that's a woman. How do I crochet breasts? Maybe just do the Magical adjustable ring, increase a row then decrease a row? I don't want anything fancy, I just want it to be obvious she's a woman. Tongue

Just, as you get to her chest part, increase the amount of stitches you have and decrease real quick.  Or make two of the popcorn stitches, bobbles... whatever you want to call them.

I have made the breasts seperately and sewn them on before. This really makes them look huge. Increasing when you are crocheting the body is probably the best idea.

wait, how would that work? Do you mean,on the chest do 2 sc in a couple stiches, then decrease it back to the number it was, and then do the same for the next breast?

Exactly.  You could do two sc in say... two or three single sc stitches, one in each sc space between and do the same in the second.  And on your next round, keep increasing, do a single sc in each or decrease, depending how big you want your doll to be.

I didn't think about it when I wrote it but, you could also do like... two popcorns or baubles too.

I've been wondering the same thing.  I've made dolls that I wanted to look more like a grown woman than a child, but wasn't quite sure how to give her breasts.  Thanks, this helps me to  Grin

Am in the middle of a Neytiri Thread Crochet Doll and will post a photo of her later
and tell you how I did mine. The head is the only thing done so far ... but then I
just started on her last night.
