cast on today! doing it in Lambs Pride Bulky wool in Charcoal. Yeah, not the yarn it calls for, but my grandmother needs something a little warmer I think. Plus, it's SO SOFT. I love it! Also using size 9 needles since I've lost one of my 8s. So, it'll be a bit big but I still think she'll love it

I'm using Lion Brand Fisherman's wool, just cast on a couple days ago, now that Christmas gifts are all done, I can focus on this!

Just got done with the back lower band, I hate ribbing xD I ended up frogging what I had and switched to size 8 needles, was turning out TOO big.

I don't like ribbing either.  almost done with it tho!

I've been working on it a bunch the last 2 days. So far I have about 11 inches of the back done.

I think I'm around the same.. around 2 1/2 pattern repeats so far. It's turning out SO pretty. The wool makes the "leaves" kind of hard to see, but adds a nice texture to it, almost bubbly. Will take pics as soon as I find my camera, eek.

I took a few days off of this to finish up some other stuff, but now I finished the back! it looks sooo pretty. 



I (very slightly) changed the lace pattern. I'm just ignoring the shaded squares, and treating them like plain, non-shaded squares. (knit on right side, purl on wrong side) hopefully that makes sense. I just didn't want that much texture.
