My 2nd one. Its 2 3/4 in long. The fins aren't quite as yellow in person. I had planned on making it solid orange, but it had a few small dark specks imbedded in the clay, so I covered them with black paint  Undecided.

I keep it next to the fish tank, my goldfish seems to like it. I left it on my dresser after taking pictures of it and when I brought it back to put next to the tank my goldfish was really excited. Tongue

This is my fist one. Its 2 in long.  It kind of just happened, I didn't really know what to do with a piece of scrap wire and epoxy, but I covered it with some pearl clay and started sculpting. I was happily surprised when it turned out to be a portrait of my goldfish  Cheesy, though I am still a bit disappointed that the fins curled Sad. Its still not finished, I havent sculpted the eyes or the mouth yet.

i agree, the curled fins really add alot to the realism

i have a very large fancy (at least 6 inches head to the tip of her tail) and this is really spot on with how their fins move

Thanks everyone Smiley

The fins curling wouldn't be so bad if they didn't split so much when they did, it makes it look like the fish has been injured badly  Sad.

Thanks
I didn't feel like painting them silver, and its actually not uncommon for goldfish to have pigmented eyes.
