I had made these with double sided origami paper, and then recently saw them made from book pages.  I thought sheet music would look cool.  I couldn't bear to cut up my really old looking sheet music, although I think the yellow tinge would be nice and antique-y.

Tutorial for the star:
http://extremecards.blogspot.com/2009/06/five-pointed-origami-star.html

I strung the beads on a short length of wire, and made a big loop on the bottom, which I glued between the layers of the star.  At the top I twisted the pipe cleaner and a little bit of the wire together, cut off the excess wire, and twirled the pipe cleaner around a pencil.

Try tea staining to get the antique look, maybe? Love this star.

This is so cute! I love origami and music - looking at the manuscript paper you've used makes me want to compose! Well done.
