So I made http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=181837.0 and I just used 8 oz instead of 4 and 6oz instead of 3, and well even after its been in the living room for a while its still like a rock as in pressing hard doesn't even really make a dent in it... Is there anything I can add to make it softer? I used unrefined cocoa butter if that makes any difference apart from the smell...

I'm on my phone, internet is down so I can't look at the recipe, but try re-melting it and adding some liquid oil. Cocoa butter is so hard you really have to dfactor that in, it's hard to predict the finished product

so you doubled it all..yes,remelting it and adding maybe some oil to it just a tad and it should be more 'loose'..

perhaps whipping more air into it when they are melted could loosen it a tad but like maremare said cocoa butter is a tough cookie Smiley

Soap licking is dangerous..please dont try it at home

I found some olive oil my Dad got from Boots, that should do the trick Smiley It says the sell by date is 05/2009, is it still okay to use?

I would smell it, if it smells rancid don't use it. No point in wasting your other ingredients by using rancid oil, but otherwise it should be fine! Smiley

I dunno how rancid olive oil smells so I bought a new little 70ml bottle (Actually it just came to me that I could compare the smells of the old and the new bottle and see...) How much should I put in? I was thinking of putting most of the bottle in (I made two doubled up tubs, so all together I made 28 oz), and then using the rest with some left over cocoa butter and having it as a lip balm...
