This is my first attempt at tapestry crochet. I was not quite sure what I was doing and almost ripped it out mid pattern. I did not realize that your pattern naturally skewed to the right, when you crochet right-handed. Apparently there is a special graph paper to compensate for this. It did look much better after blocking.

The inside looks very similar to the outside, as the nonworking color is carried along the top and worked in.

Very pretty!  Smiley Great job for your first time doing tapestry.  I have seen a few patterns using this technique but haven't tried it yet.  My mother in law would love this hat, she's obsessed with hearts!  Where did you get this pattern?

Actually, I didn't even know I was doing tapestry crochet when I made this. I graphed a heart and went at it. I have found that Carol Ventura has created special graph paper for this technique. She has it available for free on Ravelry.
