This is so beautiful.  It is nice to see such a reverent project.  I would be proud to have this hanging in my home.

I agree with flower. Over the years, I have come to expect mockery whenever I click on a post that says "Sacred Heart" or "Our Lady of --" or "Jesus". This was a pleasant surprise.

Wifeofbath, it is sooo nice to hear someone else say that!  I have often felt the same way.  Maybe we should start a Catholic themed craft along or swap.  Smiley

I'm so glad people think it is appropriate. The recipient is a person that has studied all sorts of religions and honors all. She has a wall in her home dedicated to Catholic imagery. I wanted to make something that was art and yet would still fit in.

This is so awesome! I'm currently working with polymer clay and a shadow box. How did you get your heart to stick? I'm afraid that the clay will fall down and shatter in my shadowbox.

I used my favorite glue, fabri tac. Once it is dry it isn't going anywhere. I know people have also used that E600 or whatever it is called with good results. Hope that helps.

I also agree its really nice to see something religious...and particually a Christian religious image - I think that it is perhaps more PC to criticize christianity than other faiths. I love the cards in the corner, such a nice touch.
