Here is our gallery for the 12 Days of Christmas 2009!
original thread for this swap: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=319693.0

It isn't mandatory to reserve your mini gallery spot but feel free to do so if you want to. I like it cause it stays organized and then we can all see your 12 days presents in one posting. But you are totally allowed to just post like a normal gallery would. Smiley

Heather's Gallery of Goodness!

Here's my first package at first open:

Day 12:
All the packages have these adorable little ginger-people as tags!

Day 12 was 12 yummy-sounding teas. I'm particularly looking forward to "Red Pomegranate."

Day 11:
Day 11 was 11(+1) gift tags that I love.

Day 10:
First, look at the cute packaging:

10 lovely ornaments!

Day 9:

Day 8:
Jewelry Day!  I didn't have any holiday jewelry, so I'm psyched!

Day 7:
Christmas Decorations: a sparkly doily, 3 crocheted bells, and 3 garlands

Day 6:

Potholder towel combos, I think these will be great for picking up casserole dishes and other big things without burning myself.

Christmas potholders and matching potholder/trivets

2 washcloths

Also, this set of cookie cutters were in the second box. I'm not sure which day they go with, but I'm claiming them now, since I'm going to make gingerbread cookies tonight. They're much better than the ones I have now.

Day 5:
A set of Christmas-y coasters and a cute sparkly pouch (You can't see the pouch very well; I'll go take another picture.)

Day 4:
Christmas wine charms in a pouch

Day 3:
Lovely winter accessories

Calorimetry

Wristwarmers

There is a scarf, but I missed the picture apparently.

Day 2:
Kitchen Day:
Reversible Christmas Apron

Candy-shaped S&P shakers

Day 1:
It's very hard to tell here, and I have misplaced the action shot, but it is a beautiful shrug

I'll put up the action shot when I get my camera cord Monday or Tuesday.

On the 12th Day of Christmas, Pinkleo spoilt me...
With a beautiful handmade cookbook, full of 12 Yummy Dessert Recipes!  Some of these are things I've never even heard of... I can't wait to made Almond Yardsticks!!!  (How appropriate for a seamstress!)  And as if that wasn't awesome enough, she sent some really tasty cookies labeled "To be enjoyed immediately" (A command which was promptly obeyed.  Jim has been rewarding himself with cookies this evening. "Honey, I cleaned off my desk... I haz cookie now?") and a vintage cookbook of Christmas Cookies!  It's so darling that I've been flipping through it since I opened it after work!

On the 11th Day of Christmas, Pinkleo spoilt me...
with 10 handmade note cards, and a set of marble magnets!  They're so beautiful, and I can't wait to use them in swaps!!!  The second shot is of my new magnets gracing my fridge.  :-)  (I love magnets, and was in need of a few more.  Thanks Pink!)

On the 10th Day of Christmas, Pinkleo spoilt me...
with 10 BEAUTIFUL pairs of earrings!  I wore the large hoops with shell coins on them to work today and got lots of compliments.  I also forgot to wear a necklace today, but was given one by one of my students that matched my new earrings!  Huzzah for Pinkleo!  And Huzzah for Costume Shop Christmas!

On the 9th Day of Christmas, Pinkleo spoilt me...
with 9 STUNNING necklaces! Several of which coordinate with my beautiful earrings from yesterday!  They include:  a beautiful turquoise one, (with the Cherokee Blessing "May the warm winds of heaven blow softly upon your house.  May the Great Spirit bless all who enter there.  May your mocassins make happy tracks in many snows, and may the rainbow always touch your shoulder."); triple stranded "You and the Moon"; an amazing Tree of Life pendant which I believe is Moonstone called "Watch His Woods Fill Up With Snow"; a fun and sassy chain called What to Do; Dragon's Breath; a Slytherin set; a really beautiful chainmaile collar; an icicle leaves lariat; and a key pendant inspired by an item on my Wist "Key to Life is the Quest Within"!  I wore this one at work today and again got LOTS of compliments on it!

On the 8th Day of Christmas, Pinkleo spoilt me...
with 7 AWESOME bracelets and a LOVELY broach! Several of which coordinate with my beautiful necklaces from yesterday!  They include a woven floral piece in lavender, pink, and green; black roses which totally matches most of my theatre dress up clothes; moonstone chips which match yesterday's Tree of Life pendant; bright aqua (which I wear a LOT); pearl cluster bracelet; an A-FREAKIN'-MAZING woodsy themed cluster bracelet to match earrings from day 10; blue button bracelet which I've been wisting for; and a sweet turquoise broach that I can't wait to put onto my new winter coat!  ...as soon as I get around to making myself a coat anyways....  Thank you PINKLEO!!!!

On the 7th Day of Christmas, Pinkleo spoilt me...
with 7 Crochet dish cloths AND an Owl Towel!  They're so bright and cheery looking, and will really brighten up my kitchen!  I can't get over how adorable the little owl is...  He's currently adorning the handle to the fridge so I can see him every time I go for more water.  Smiley

On the 6th Day of Christmas, Pinkleo spoilt me...
with a beautiful Tea For One pot (something I collect) three delicious boxes of tea, a jar of homemade cinnamon hot cocoa, and a book of gift jar recipes!!!  I might even whip some up as last minute presents to add to what I've been making my in-laws!

On the 5th Day of Christmas, Pinkleo spoilt me... AND DEAR HUSBAND!
with an awesome crocheted cowl, a beautiful blue hat and scarf set for me, a book on making felt crafts, TONS AND TONS of felt, and pretty soap in a crocheted bag, plus extra bars!  And as if that wasn't enough, she made a hat and scarf for my husband too!

On the 4th Day of Christmas, Pinkleo spoilt me...
an AMAZING example of paper cutting!  (My hubby and I have an ongoing joke about squirrels that I don't think Pinkleo even knew about, but makes the piece all the cuter for our home.)  A beautiful origami crane mobile (which is currently hanging from the only hook in the house, which is in the living room, but as soon as I can get DH to put a hook our office/craft room, then it's coming in here!).  And super duper exciting, The Big-Ass Book of Crafts, and Anticraft!  I had Big-Ass Crafts on my wist, but I had never seen Anticraft before.  I spent a while over my morning tea pouring through the whole thing!  I'm hoping I can get Ex_Gratia to teach me to knit, if I in exchange crochet her a cat o'nine tails.  I freakin' love craft books!  Thank you Pinkleo!!!!

On the 3rd Day of Christmas, Pinkleo spoilt me...
with a teach-myself-to-knit kit!  Including 3 books, 2 pairs of regular needles, a pair of circular bamboo needles, gauge, counter, and other stuff that I don't yet understand!  Second was a beautiful VINTAGE handmade apron, that Pinkleo's grandmother made, which made me cry when I read it.  And finally a stunning pair of embroidered pillow cases!  These are going to go with a quilt Jim's mother gave us for our wedding.   Grin

On the 2nd Day of Christmas, Pinkleo spoilt me...
with a STUNNING handmade shawl, and an another awesome paisley shawl.  As you see it's displayed on my sofa in the picture, and matches my living room so well, I'm actually thinking of using it as decor for my living room!  (DH actually LOVES paisley... not sure why, but since I love it too, it works.)

On the 1st Day of Christmas, Pinkleo spoilt me...
with an AWESOME Gryffindor House Scarf!  Seriously, the thing is like a million feet long, and very warm.  I ran around in it all day when I opened it.  And to fuel my eventual knitting talents, she included a copy of Charmed Knits, and a Gryffindor bookmark!  (Pinks, I TOTALLY almost bought you that for Year 3 present on HP day... but I'm glad I asked you to list your books on Ravelry so you didn't end up with two copies!)

Thank you my darling.  I have, as always, LOVED swapping with you, and am now going to be sad that we won't be chatting nearly every day... come to think of it, I may just keep PMing you every few days with silly questions anyways!

12 Days of Christmas 2009!

We're leaving today to go to family's house so I opened the rest of my gifts.  I haven't had time to take and post photos but I will do that when we get back.

Day 1:
I cried.  Missmoppet found me an entire set of the Laura Ingalls Wilder books.  I have been slowly losing my childhood set as they've been falling apart.  LIW has been my idol since childhood and now I have a new set of the books.  I seriously started tearing up when I opened the package.  You have been such a thoughtful partner, missmoppet.  Thank you so much for an awesome Christmas.

Day 2:
OMG KICK A$$.  An amazing Poppet!!!!!!  I love her!  She's so cute with purple hair and a flower around her eye and omg she looks so much like the one on my wists.  And also the most awesome purse!  It's a denim bag with a tattoo swallow on it.  I LOVE THIS BAG!

Day 3:
3 really warm crochet hats.  These will help keep us warm in the cold Flagstaff winter.  I especially love the blue and white one.

Day 4:
Wists.  I got 2 really awesome canvas art pieces for my house.  One is a really cool celtic design, and the other is a reproduction of a design I had on my wists!  I can't wait to hang them up.  I also got a picture frame/shadow box with little old keys inside it.  I love old keys and anything made with them.  And in addition, a DVD of Little House on the Prairie.  I love Laura Ingalls Wilder!

Day 5:
Star Wars.  I don't know how she did it, but she found 5 really awesome Star Wars figurines.  They're about 9 inches high (maybe a bit taller).  We got Palpatine, Vader, Chewwy, C-3PO, and Greedo (omg awesome).  Husband has decided our Star Wars family is going to live above his computer and has set about to install a shelf just for them.  Wow what a great day!

Day 6:
Brain Slug Hat!!!  A green crocheted hat like a brain slug from Futurama!  And also, shot glasses!  I collect shot glasses so this is so awesome for me.  My favorite is one that says "Don't Bother Me, I'm Crabby" and has a bunch of little crabs all over it.  SO CUTE.

Day 7:
Sewing!  Missmoppet sent me 7 packs of patterns, including some really cool dog bed patterns and adorable stuffed animals.

Day 8:
(image coming later)

Family Entertainment.  2 DVDs (King of Queens, Dodgeball), some books (one of which is a Laura Ingalls type book!!!), some playing cards, and a cute metal playing card case (omg I didn't know they even made these) with a dragon on the front.

Day 9:

Today was a yummy day.  I got a whole bunch of cookie cutters, an awesome chocolate baking book from Hershey's, and an apron with pink polka dots.  The best part is that the apron actually fits/covers me (i'm fat) and I'm so stoked to wear it this weekend while I bake X-mas cookies!  Oh, and the husband took one look at the cookbook and said "Get in the kitchen, I'll do all the other chores."  LOL.

Day 10:

Sadly part of Day 10 didn't make the journey.  There seemed to be these cute plastic tiki head cups but they were in pieces.  Sad  BUT I got really cute bunny slippers (soo good b/c it's cold here) and a really pretty zippered bag, another crochet bag which will come in handy as a WIP bag for knitting, and some more little office supplies.  I really love the pouch, the fabric choice is perfect for me.  Not sure what I'm going to use it for, I have so many ideas.  I might just use it as a wrist purse.  Thanks missmoppet!

Day 11:

Office stuff!  Cool crafty pirate tote bag, and a whole bunch of things like pens and a mini calculator and OMG alligator clippie magnets!!!!

This little guy gets me every time I see him.  I love it!

Can't wait to take this stuff to my office... make it a little more fun!  Thanks so much partner!

Day 12:

(pardon the messy desk)

A very cute light green crocheted bag with a ton of candy.  Candy is always a huge hit in my house, and I love the little bag.  It's the perfect size for toting my breakfast (bagel, banana, string cheese, and drink) to work.  I was wanting something to tote it in, since we recycle our grocery bags for another, less tasty purpose (dogs).  Thank you missmoppet!.

Day 11

Delicious almond bar and truffles with a white chocolate/peppermint middle! mmmmm

day 10
10 wonderful lipbalms, made by 1b1g1k2! Folks, I wish you had scratch and sniff monitors because each one smells wonderful! I would like to point out the lovely gift bag she made for them too! My daughter has already made off with one of the strawberry. I'm loving the pumkin bread at the moment but they all smell divine!

day 9

This was a really sweet and wonderful gift. Clearly miss 1b1g1k2 thinks about her partners. We have a tradition in our family. We've been collecting ornaments since before our kids were born so that when they leave and get their own homes they'll have ornaments of their own that they're familiar with. Kind of like carrying a bit of home with you I guess. Anyway, I got 3 sets of ornaments!! One for us (our main tree is a mish mash of all kinds of fun ornaments) 1 for my dd, 1 for my ds, and one for us! I really need to get a better shot of the wreath, I'll try to do that by this weekend.

day 8

8 wonderful linen napkins! I am trying to become more frugal and also mindful of how much waste I produce in my house and napkins are something I'm  trying to collect.  These are beautiful, and I will use them one day, but now I just like to sit and look at them! LOL Yet another lovely bag too!

day 7

7 beautiful pairs of earrings! Each one is gorgeous and well made! I

day 6

4 glorious soaps and 2 awesome perfumes, all made by her! They smell wonderful and each is specific, like exfoliation, or anti itch bar. Hubby was particularly excited about the soaps, he loves handmade soap. But I told him these were special and I'm not sharing lol! What's really great is all the products she makes are all natural!  Oh and another lovely bag.

day 5

Fiber!! four lovely skeins of hand dyed yarn, some of her favorite bamboo yarn (that my daughter declared better than alpaca!) some gorgeous roving (that I cannot wait to spin up!) and some wonnderful embroidery thread/accessories And yet another fab bag!(it's under the yarn)  I didn't get any paper wrapping Can you believe how great a swapper she is??

day 4

another great bag with 4 incredible necklaces and bracelets that match some of my earrings in day 7!! My daughter has already been eyeballing these as well Cheesy And another great bag to store them in! Such fine sewing skills!

day 3

The coolest rug for in front of your sink! It was a favorite of her grandma's, and it doesn't wear out! How cool to be able to have something so dear crafted for me! Also the most amazing table runner and placemats! They're so beautiful! I bow to her quilting skills. I have none so this is really exciting for me!  Action shots then close  ups

Day 2

A tree skirt and stocking loaded with more bath and body goodies!! I cannot tell you how much I love this tree skirt!! It fits perfect with our main tree. I just put it out in the front room to get a better pic of it. And I love the stocking because my stocking was the only one that wasn't hand made! Now they all are!  The B&B things are a lotion stick (how cool is that??) samples of lip balm made with honey as well as a lotion made with honey and a little thing called a Knit stick. It's lotion for your hands after knitting! Also boo boo balm a natural antiseptic and some body powder. All natural stuff and it smells amazing!

day 1

A QUILT!!! Oh you have no idea how much I love quilts, and even more because this was made for me! And it is gorgeous! I love everything about it. It's warm and made of awesome! It's large too! My son is 5'9" and my 7 ft tree is behind him!

1boy1girl1kitty2 you have entirely spoiled me beyond my wildest imagination! This has been the most amazing swap and so worth the wait (evil evil post office!)

On the twelfth day of Christmas, funthreads gave to me.....

A set of adorable vintage inspired gift tags! Love 'em!

On the eleventh day of Christmas, funthreads gave to me....

Amazing earrings, a SpongeBob magic towel, some adorable deer pendants, and a set of Guns n' Roses pendants and settings from my wists! The Bob-omb earrings are definitely among my favourites. They were the first pair I unwrapped and I was so excited!! I also adore the Beatles earrings and the little robot ones. They're all so perfect!

Thank you funthreads, I can't wait to start wearing all my cool earrings!!

On the tenth day of Christmas, funthreads gave to me...

8 recipe cards, a little recipe book with several scrumptious looking goodies inside, and a cute festive spatula!

On the ninth day of Christmas, funthreads gave to me....

A bunch of goodies in this cute snowman bag!

Face scrubbies, two "squeezies" (I think that's what they're called? They're the plastic canvas santa and reindeer, when you pinch their cheeks their mouths open, and there are chocolate kisses inside!), a change purse, a post-it holder, a cool woven keychain, a lip balm holder (which is great since I just recently started making my own lip balm Cheesy) and a business card holder- just what I needed! I also received a "book thong" bookmark, which is already in use in my book, which I left on my desk at work.

It's been crazy here lately, so I missed yesterday's post! Ack!

On the eighth day of Christmas, funthreads gave to me...

TOTALLY SWEET GOOMBA NOTEBOOK!, some of my faaaavourite chocolates (Lindt) in a cute little fabric basket, which she also gave me directions for so I can make my own, two super fun sets of notecards, a set of Christmas potholders, a giant mug with a cozy and heaps of delicious drink mixes (yum!!!), an adorable snowman coaster, and a zippered pouch which will be fantastic for my earrings and hygiene goods when I travel!

On the seventh day of Christmas, funthreads gave to me....

Amazing Warhol Tomato Soup pictures (I can't wait to get my own place so I can hang these in my kitchen!), a super cute cassette tape pouch - made out of a Red Skelton tape, an AMAZING alphabet scarf, and bath bomb goods- instructions, molds, and a gift certificate for coastal scents - I have been wanting to learn to make bath bombs for ages! Thanks so much, Carol! These days are getting awesomer and awesomer!

On the sixth day of Christmas, funthreads gave to me...

A super adorable mistletoe headband (so perfect, my boyfriend and I get to spend Christmas together for the first time this year Smiley), a cute elf ornament (a redo of one of her favourite childhood ornaments), a reindeer bag full of Hershey's Kisses- yum!, a cute little makeup bag, a hilariously awesome toilet seat cover (one side has santa waving saying "ho ho ho", the other has him covering his nose going "oh oh oh!"), and a huge flower pincushion!

Sorry for the poor photo quality, it's super dark here!

On the fifth day of Christmas, funthreads gave to me...

A cute snowman wall hanging which is now hanging on my door, a denim bag (awesome! I was just saying I need to switch bags for the winter so my painted one doesn't crack), a crocheted snowman, a couple cool crafty books (I love the alphabet one, even though I'm not sure what I'll do with it... maybe write funny things on cakes in other languages Wink), and the most AMAZING chocolate peanuts I have ever eaten! If I hadn't checked the nutritional information, I would have eaten the whole can right now. *giggle*

I seriously need to get my rear in gear with this picture taking! The boyfriend came up yesterday, and we're having Christmas dinner tonight at my place, so it's been a busy few days. In any case...

On the fourth day of Christmas, funthreads gave to me....

A fabric bowl, Wall-E PJ pants, a plush weighted Santa (I think he's going on the mantle Smiley) and a kit on how to make an awesome bag!! I can't wait to try it!

Bowl is MIA, I put it somewhere where I knew it would come in handy, and in the Christmas cleaning it must have gotten moved!

On the third day of Christmas, funthreads gave to me...

a SWEET record clock, an adorable tote bag, and 2 books of vintage advertising. Love 'em! I'm a graphic designer by trade, and I adore all the old advertising and hand lettering, so I adore these books! Smiley

**Belated pics on the next two, Craftster isn't letting me upload! Sad**

On the second day of Christmas, funthreads gave to me...

An awesome colourful bag and a Beatles quilt!!

On the first day of Christmas, funthreads gave to me....

A coat for my Captain Jack Sparrow costume! Wahoo! It's so perfect. Cheesy Can't wait to have an excuse to dress up again. Smiley I had to try it on with my shirt, vest, and belts to make sure it fit over them all - made me realize how funny it looks with dress pants and sneakers! Wink

Unfortunately, this is the only decent picture my boyfriend got, hahaha...

Thank you so much, Carol- you are an amazing partner! I adore everything you sent, and your mad sewing skills are truly inspirational!  Kiss
