This will be the first Christmas that I know ahead of time that I'll be seeing The ManFlesh's mom on Christmas and even though I don't know her very well, I really like her and wanted to make her a little gift.  I do know that she has a bit of a chocolate dependency, shall we say.  Wink  She actually has a drawer in her kitchen for storing just chocolate.  At one time I saw a tea wallet here on craftster and thought I'd do that for her, than realized it's just The ManFlesh and his sister that like tea, SHE likes [understatement] chocolate.

Various mental incarnations of the wallet ensued, then I had the bright idea to model the look on an Apple laptop.

I really wanted it to zip and was guessing on zipper length when at the store.   I should've gone a couple inches longer and will if I do this again, which I think I will for another gift this year.

Loaded with the Chocware Sweet (get it?  like suite?).  It'll fit a variety of sizes and I think I will get a few more pieces to really fill it out.

Boring interior shot showing the lining fabric along with the elastic and how it's sewn down.

Thanks for looking!

I'd be pretty excited if I opened that sweet ditty up on Christmas morning!

Thanks!  I'm making another right now for a friend (with a few design changes).

Thank you!  I realized after I made it and sent photos to The ManFlesh that she might not really get it as she's not a gadget-girl or really very technical.  Undecided

Thanks!  I hope so!

Honestly, even if she doesn't get its a mac reference... who wouldn't like a little chocolate wallet for their purse?

I think the mac reference is cute, btw

Thank you, that's a good point.  And I'm sure the other attendees will get it and oo-ah in such a way as she'll at least get that there's something she's not quite getting.

Oh, I like it. I like it a LOT. Smiley

My mother-in-law does the same thing, she has a chocolate drawer. This is a cool and cute way to store it. Smiley

Thanks, Beefranck!  I imagine this one could live in her desk at work, maybe?

That is great. I like the idea of making it look like the apple logo. Very creative Smiley
