how can snow and ice have just arrived in austria and for us to have it since before christmas! I see austria as always being buried in snow!

I have just walked home from the pub, yes it is 4am, there was a sing song, much alcohol and even some irish dancing (well I do live in a little village in the west of ireland, we have to fuel the cliches occasionally) I walked home in the snow and frost and gnashed my teeth, how come the best photos are the ones you would have taken, if only you had remembered your camera. It was magical tonight.

i live near vienna, far far away from the mountains (as far at this is possible in austria)  Cheesy
but it seems even the mountains were short on snow this winter holidays looks like i have to come to ireland
one can't even rely on cliches nowadays. -.-

too sad that you had no camera that night.

morrigan_le_faye  thanks sweetie. My garden is very wild, because I am the laziest gardener in the world, but the upside of that is that we have dozens of birds, hedgehogs and a badger that come to the door, when they are not hibernating. Which is a wonderful excuse to keep long grass.

erdbeerblau wow that is amazing, I thought all the mountains were having a really good winter. They were saying in the papers that scotland ski resorts are having a fabulous year.

I live near a very large fresh water lake and have done for a lot of my life. I have never seen it frozen, it is not completely frozen at the moment, but it is frozen out as far as you can see. its wild!

but as it snowed for 2 or 3 days, it's getting better and colder
i LOVE frozen lakes this always reminds me of the little family trips where i learnt to ice skate.
i bet there's a great potential for pictures too!
