I just tried knitting some socks for the first time, but i'm stuck when it gets to the heel  Sad

Here is part of the pattern:

There are 23 stitches on my needle.

Next row: *K1. Sl1. Rep from * to last st. K1.
Next row: Purl. Rep last 2 rows for 2 ins [5 cm], ending with a RS row.

Shape heel: 1st row: P12-16-18. P2tog. P1. Turn.
2nd row: K3. Sl1. K1. psso. K1. Turn.
3rd row: P4. P2tog. P1. Turn.
4th row: K5. Sl1. K1. psso. K1. Turn.
Cont in same manner to 13 sts.

I tried to "continue in the same manner", but i think i'm doing it very wrong.  Could someone please help me by writing out the instructions for the next few rows until it gets down to 13 sts?

If you watch your knitting you should see that there is a "gap" where you last turned. Knit or purl until you're one stitch away from the gap. You will then make a decrease, either p2tog or sl1, k1, psso, with the two stitches on each side of the gap, knit (or purl) one more stitch and then turn.

There is a video showing the process here: http://www.knittinghelp.com/videos/advanced-techniques (Working the heel of a Sock)
