So, I sense a trend here of me starting this thread...Where did everyone go?? We used to have so many lovely things posted...I miss you all...I miss yarn porn...Feed your need and inspire someone else and post!!!

I have 2 today. The first is BFL is a super hot colorway from Maisy Day Handspun on Etsy in a colorway called Figgy...HOT...it is a little darker purple than it appears..

This second is from a bit of roving from our fav girl Cyndi at MullersLaneFarm..wh om I was lucky enough to get for a swap pal in the latest fiber swap...It is a natural wool with a bit of wool neps and a bit of shiny nylony something..Sorta a tweedy yarn with a slight shine..I think it is calling to trim something..

I don't spin so I don't have anything to add to here, but that second one is so pretty! I really like greys and neutrals with little flecks of colors in them <3

I am in the process of packing and moving, so I have no time to spin! I also miss how much yarn used to get posted here, but maybe it's just a busy time of year.

Here we are!  This is a sport-to-worsted weight yarn that I spun from a batt I processed and dyed myself.  There's a bit of lanolin left that I will try to get out before I send the finished product to my sister, but overall I'm pleased.  117 yds, 4? oz:





Her favorite color is yellow, but I hadn't perfected this colorway yet, and the green bled everywhere and so there's barely any blue or yellow.  But, it will be subtle striping all the way and hopefully the final product will be awesome.

Got some yarn to show off
Thenutmeg- I love love love your wine and orange yarn, so pretty!
knkurz- that green is pretty awesome. It reminds me of grass when it just starts to grow in the spring.

So I didn't have a chance to spin another single of that green colorway I was working with last week but I have a lovely lavender and some grey singles that I decided to ply together. I still don't have my jumbo flyer so I had to cut this yarn, I just couldn't fit anymore on my regular bobbin. Then while plying the on the second bobbin, the yarn ended up breaking because I was trying to get out a kink I gifted a small skein, it was about 57 yards. The big one is 126 yards, and the one next to it is 76 yards. I am calling it Dirty Unicorn.




I spun and plied this on my spindle. It's grey and a cream & brown mixed roving. I really like the way it turned out. 68 yards.





This is what I just finished spinning. It's made with fiber I carded myself, it's a wool and merino mix. I plan to use it for some art yarn.

Yeaaaaa I knew you were all out there with some yarn somewhere....I know it is down to crunch time for the holidays. But hey, the wheel is good for the stress, listening to the wheel and jammin on your ipod tuning out the world even if it is for a few minutes...lol I love all the yarns this week. They are each different and beautiful. Hope everyone stays warm this coming week.

I've got two for this week!!

First is some Blue Faced Leicester. I absolutely loved working with this wool and this colorway. It's called Redwood Forest. I'm not sure of the yardage because when I was setting the twist it was about 4am and I was just trying to clear off my all of my bobbins.




This one is some Corridale, a lovely teal blue. The picture came out a lot darker than the actual color, but you get the idea.
