I took a pottery and ceramics class this semester. Here are some of my favorite pieces.

I didn't know if the octopus would make it with it's spindly arms and big heavy head. But there she is. I'm going to put in the 50 gallon fish tank at work. The little green container in the above picture is my very favorite project.

The whale is a teapot. And those are it's matching teacups. The bowl is version 2.0. An earlier one was picked up by a fellow student and dropped. *oops*

This mask freaks out my husband. He held it at arms length for a while.... so I hung it on the wall by the front door. The coil pot is 12" tall. Both of these have stain under the glaze.

RAKU!! Whoa, that was so much fun. The middle one turned out the best. The gray parts are unglazed, the gray is from the smoke getting into the clay.

I think I'm going to take this class again in January. I'm not a student anymore, this is just for fun nowadays. I hope you enjoyed seeing them.  Smiley
