That turned out really cute! Something you could do to spice it up (since you said everyone else wears black) is make a poofy underskirt in a different color from the same kind of material. It'd bring some color in without being too much (depending on how long you made it) would help with the main dress being just a little shorter than you wanted. The only other thing I could think of would be a sash in a different color or something.

I think it's awesome as it is, but if you were to bring color into it, those would be easier (and less permanent, so you could still have a plain black dress later) ways to do it Cheesy

I love it!  I'm really impressed you made something that fits so well without using a pattern.

Yeah, Ive considered making a underskirt of colored tulle. It would make it more fun and add a bit of lenght Cheesy

You and your dress are so freaking cute! I never though of making a corset to wear under things I can't wear bras with. I'm a 38DD and strapless bras don't exactly do the job. How did you go about making the corset?

Amazing job, especially for not having a dressmaker!

A well fitting black dress is always useful! It was my only request this year for Christmas. I hate sewing for myself because I'm so hard to fit. You did a fantastic job. And the dress is classy and sexy at the same time!
