Twilight moonscape

This is my latest project from my fused glass class. I'm very pleased with the way it turned out, but it's very difficult to photograph.

The back layer of glass is gray translucent glass, and the first step was to fuse some green frit onto the back. Then I layered mosaic cut pieces on the top layer and filled it in with clear frit. Full fused, then slumped. Voilà!

I love it. Especially the subtle colors. Usually fused glass is bright colors. It's fun to look at, but nothing I'd buy to put in my home. But this piece I would covet.

WOW are you going to sell this?!?  If so, PLEASE let me know!! Love it! I've never heard of fused glass...I'll have to check it out!

It's beautiful! If you hadn't put the before fusing picture, I would have never guessed that you had used clear glass to get the colors in the sky! Very cool

The pieces that I've got on Craftster aren't for sale (in the spirit of the site) and because they're like my babies. When I get set up with my own kiln and start really experimenting, maybe then I'll sell some.
