I am so pleased with how these turned out!

I made jewelry plates as the main gift for Christmas presents this year. I've been thrift store shopping for unique glassware for a month or so and actually got a box of dishes off freecycle for this purpose.

Using unique glasses like pilsner glasses, brandy snifters, and wine glasses makes each one special. I bought votive candle holders or small cups for the top plate so they can serve as ring holders.

I used E6000 glue around the rims of the glasses to secure them. They are melded together now! It was really important to not use too much glue thought because my first ones had the glass bottoms slide overnight because they were on too thick of a pool of glue. I also did them one tier at a time to help with that as well.

On this one, I let the glue drip into thin strings and then crossed them in the bowl of the wine glass. It makes something that looks like the sugar bird nest type food creations. I like the look it gave it.

This one is particularly pretty. The white and light exposure washed out the image, sorry!

Thanks for looking!

Just look around on some blogs, too! That's where I first saw one, the idea was not original by any means but there are some interesting ones out there, for sure.
