I was looking for something easy but pretty to make for Christmas presents this year.  I remembered a folded patchwork star my grandmother showed me how to make when I was little.  It's pretty easy to do, and it's a nice way to show off fabric.  I used the "Colonial Christmas" fabric designed by Judy Rothermel.  I plan to make a few more of these in the next few weeks out of different types of fabrics.  I think they will make nice table toppers, and because they are so thick you could also use them as a trivet for hot plates.

Very cute.  I have seen these around here or there online but for some reason have yet to make any!  Thanks for the reminder!  I have a sew-in Saturday (come early, sew all day, leave late) and maybe I'll have time to whip some of these bad boys up!

Yours came out very cute Smiley

It's pretty!
And like you said, multi-functional.
I like it.

The sew-in sounds like fun!  Do you lock the doors so no one can get out?  I am glad you like my star Smiley
