This is really cool. I also keep random stuff to use some day (never know when you'll need an empty spool of thread). Just knowing how to put it all together is the key & you have a good eye for that.

This is beautiful. I've always wanted to do a "specimen" project, but have never had time to ever plan or put together one. Bravo on this piece though, it's simple and rustic and pretty neat. Thanks for posting, and reminding me i wanted to do something like this.
