I finished this sweater just in time for my knitting group's Christmas dinner!

It's made from lovely Sirdar Balmoral wool/alpaca/silk mix, constructed in the time-honoured Zimmermann top-down raglan percentage system, with the addition of a scoop neck. The body shape is snug at the top and flared out at the bottom, and long like a tunic. The bottom hem has a purl-turned row and the neckline is simply edged in reverse stocking stitch which curls neatly in on itself. The super-long arms have a smaller snowflake motif taken from the main chest pattern and are edged in 1x1 rib.

Here's the chart for the chest if you'd like to give it a go - it's worked over a multiple of 48 stitches (I did it over 146).

Few more photos & info on my Ravelry and knitblog. Hope you like it!

I adore it, really shows why people knit (instead of cheaply and quickly buying a sweater). There's no way someone could go out and buy a sweater that fit you that perfectly, or had the amazing long sleeves with the cuffs.

Very impressive!

That looks so good! I wish I could knit like that. I think I would wear that all the time, especially in the cold weather we've been having. I love that it's so long. ♥

that looks so cute on you! Normally I hate things emblazoned with reindeers and holly, but you've taken the traditional "christmas jumper" and made it sooo pretty and cozy  Cheesy

It's so pretty, I've never seen a sweater in that style of knit that I liked before--they usually look corny but the rest of the sweater modernizes the design.
