This is a recent bag I made using Japanese fabric. One Mother's Day, I received a bunch of nice fabric from my daughter & these were in the stash. I didn't realize it till later that these 2 were a match, so I made this:

Front view

Inside view - I cut out some of the designs & fused them onto the pocket for added detail

For the flap closure, I used these hidden magnets I found at Joann's. These are from Dritz & they are awesome - easy to use & they don't stick out or show. I recently found some others online (thanks to another craftster) that are a lot cheaper.

Comments welcomed.

Beautifully done! The fabric looks like temari balls!

And, btw, thanks for the label tute and for sending me on a mission to buy hidden magnetic closures!

I learn so much new stuff on here!

Love the purse! I'm so jealous of people who can sew - I'm a total screw up anytime I try and I long to create dozens of purses!

Thanks for the great comments. Here's a link to hidden magnets:
http://www.ahkwokbuckles.com/masnhi.html. The prices are very reasonable. I've asked for some for Christmas, maybe Santa will be nice to me. I have some other comments to make, but our computers been down all day & I have more comments to make, so I'll write more stuff tomorrow.

You're welcome alwaysinmyroom, glad to help. These do look like temari balls don't they? I didn't realize it till you said it.

Riechan - I couldn't believe when I looked closer at the 2 fabrics & saw that it was a match. I love it too.

Your bag makes me smile and I love the way you've done the inside pockets.

What a nice compliment - thanks melmakespretty. The pockets were a random idea. I don't have any set plan when I make a bag, I kinda make things up as I go. That's why I'm not very fast, I tend to put a lot of thought in my bags (sometimes too much).
