As I'm crazy about gardening and can't wait for spring to start (and winter is only just beginning) , I decided to make a few terrariums:

Moss and Ground-ivy found in the woods near my house.

This one is a bit messier, but hosts a little tropical plant with little heartseases on it.

And 2 pendant terrariums with a little moss in it!

It's so addicting to make terrariums!  Wink My husband says our house is starting to be a "Biodome". (referring to the last Dr. Who episode, where there's a huge biodome on Mars  Tongue)

I love moss terrariums, and I've always wanted a long rectangular glass one to fit in my windowsill!

The terrarium pendants are real nice!

The only purpose of the day job is to buy the craft supplies!! Cheesy  Seriously, I LOVE making personalized crafts. I now have a line of hand-crafted fans and notecards using the Zentangle (R) technique. I have also become a Certified Zentangle Teacher and teach other artforms and techniques.

I have to be honest with you... I thought it was weed when I saw the thumbnail, so I clicked on it out of curiosity!

Nice work, I love the pendants!

Haha, as I only live 15 min from Amsterdam, that would have been a possibility  Wink but then I'd need a real huge terrarium....

Forgot to post this one:
I also had a small plant and I didn't know what to do with it until I found this cute bottle in our local thrift store..
Before:

After:

It isn't completely closed, but the opening is small enough to keep the climate humid inside.

love the moss pendants!!!   Shocked

do terrariums require care, like watering, or are they pretty much self-sustaining?

If it's a closed one it should'n be necessary to water it, because the water keeps circulating and is filtered by the charcoal in it. So, ideally it becomes an independant biotope  Cheesy
