Several years ago, my mom bought a ton of fabric to cover her big comfy chair. Two weeks ago, I decided to use the left over fabric to make a cute dress fit for our winter.

I wanted to try a dress with no waist or much shape, but still try to make it look good.

So it is kind of inspired by nightgowns with the gathered skirt at the bottom. It kind of did end up looking like a nightgown. I love it anyways.

I'm quite happy with the way it turned out.

Thank you! Cheesy

No, I didn't use a pattern.
I love the buttons. (; They've been lying around in the sewing basket for years. I thought they were perfect for this.

Thank you! (:
I really wanted a dress with long sleeves. All the ones I had were 3/4 sleeves. It bugged me. Cheesy

I'd buy that.

this is gorgeous, i love the shapeless but not too shapeless kinda look it has - like its structured enough not to look like a bag/make you look bad but looks so comfy and carefree at the same time, like you can just throw it on over leggings or whatever and not have to worry about anything else...... well done

I think it looks kind of fancy, too. I was going to wear it to a school function thing a couple weeks ago, then I changed at the last moment because I felt too fancy for school. Tongue

Wicked.

This is my first dress this shapeless. Before I was kind of scared of them, but I totally agree with you now. They are fun.
Thank you. Smiley
