I was very excited about this project because it was my first time entering a craft challenge and my first time steampunking anything!  the inspiration came from my boyfriend who is quite into steampunk things in general and we just thought it would be quite quirky.  anyway, before and after pics! ( sorry for the rubbish pics I don't have a camera so they were taken on my phone!)

Before - the ugliest teapot you ever did saw!  I felt really sorry for it.

During - this is after one base coat and four coats of copper paint - lots of painting!

All the nuts are put in place

The final product!!

I'm really proud of this project because it was something totally new to me and I had a lot of fun with it.  It wasn't too much hard work and I think I may still add to it in time, it would be cool to get the light bulbs to actually light.  Thanks for looking! c&c appreciated!

i think, later, when you aren't in a hurry for the contest, it could use a little more texture and ... antiquing?  i think that's spelled right.  anyway... it's a really neat idea.

I actually think the teapot was kinda cute to start with, but to each their own. Smiley I like the idea.

this is really neat. I honestly liked it before but I also like the twist you gave it. And think it would be super cool lit up!

Thank you for all the comments Cheesy I had a lot of fun with this project, and nataluna, I agree with the more texture and antiquing, I think i'm going to keep it as a project to work on whenever I get the urge to do something steampunky.
