My daughter is obsessed with Blue's Clues, easily her favorite show ever. So for her birthday we are doing a BC theme, however since BC is no longer popular, it's very hard to find party supplies. Being a crafty mom and, well, me, I decided to make Slippery Soap favors!

Here is a kind-of group shot. I used Wholesale Supplies Plus' acrylic soap paints and they proved a bit tricky. I'm totally willing to admit that I didn't mix them right because I found them a bit goopy. The faces aren't perfect but, hey, I doubt my <6-years recipients will care much. Wink

Action shot of one in DD's bathroom. Smiley

Reference shot of the actual Slippery Soap.

For anyone interested, I took 2lbs. of white MP base, added 2T. shea butter, colored with BB's liquid non-bleeding violet, added 1/8tsp. soap-safe iridescent glitter (gives them an ever so-subtle sparkly) and scented with 1/4tsp. BB's Blueberry Delight FO.

Over all it was an easy, but kinda kitschy craft for a bunch of toddlers! As always, comments, critiques, and cheesecake recipes are always welcome. Grin

I know, yeah? I know Steve didn't want to do BC forever, but why not? Had Steve stayed he would have had an instant paycheck for life, and the show would have continued. Joe was NOT a good replacement. DD doesn't like the Joe episodes, and the ones where Blue is a puppet and can talk are right out. All I hear is "Where's Steve? Where's Steve?" Grrr!! Okay, BC tangent done!

Thank you, very much. Smiley I think it'll be a fun time next weekend. I'll be sure to post pictures of the Blue cake. Grin

*starts humming BC theme music*  I love these ... Slippery Soap is my favorite of Blue and Steve's friends! These are going to be a huge hit with the kiddies! (and probably the parents too)  I agree with everyone Steve made Blue's Clues! I miss him, Joe just doesn't fit.

Hehe, everyone needs a little Blue's Clues in their life! Cheesy

Thank you, all, for the kind words. I'm thinking kids'll dig blueberry, sparkly soap, right? There are going to be two kids there who are 8 and 6 (little old for Blue, lol) and I'm hoping they'll dig that scent aspect. Smiley
