Beaded Christmas Tree!

My mom decorates her Christmas tree each year in blues, whites, and silvers.  I think it's a lovely combination, so I decorated my little christmas tree in the same colors. I think I'm going to send it to my mom, since I won't be seeing her this year for Christmas.

The tree's home is a little clear plastic box. Here's a picture with the lid on.

Well, I've seen so many patterns for these trees, and they're all created the same way, so I guess I didn't technically follow a pattern exactly, but I learned how to do this shape and look from a pattern and adapted the number of beads and stuff to make it the size and shape I liked. Make sense?

Lol, yep. Sense you make . Which pattern(s) does it most resemble? I think I have one or two in Virginia Nathanson's books. What others are out there that you've seen? I've been meaning to french bead a Christmas tree each year for three years and never have. Tempted to do so instead of my weekly Sunday epic housework effort

I think I most resemble the beaded christmas tree in "Bead Flowers" by Minako Shimonagase, which is a gorgeous book. I haven't used many of the patterns from it, but the ways that she displays and uses beaded flowers has been inspirational and influential for me. The big difference? I'm not patient enough to make as big of a tree as she (and many others) make, so I just stop when I like the size it's at and think it looks right. Maybe one day I'll make one that's a full foot tall. Who knows?

I love this! What technique did you use? I've had a look around on the internet for a pattern but haven't come up with anything yet other than tiny beaded tree charms.
