I took these two flashy, incompatible items...

...ripped them to pieces, put them together and constructed this dress.

The top and sleeves are from a "Built by Wendy" pattern I made recently (http://builtbywendy.com/onlineshop/cart.php?target=product&product_id=16762&category_id=296). The waistband and skirt were assembled after seeing what material I had after taking the shirt apart.

I love how the shirt had shoulder pads and beads sewn all over the top.

I had to use them.

With the beads and buttons of the shirt, I made a simple stretch bracelet.

With the shoulder pads, I made a handy wrist pin cushion.

"Wow! I really like it!"

I think my sister's a fan!

I think the most impressive part is how many items you came up with out of one ugly shirt and an ugly pair of pants! Great job!

I think the best part is that instead of making the top out of the shirt, and the skirt out of the pants, you did it the opposite way! How clever!! Love it!  Smiley
