I usually make death by chocolate in various shapes for my friends birthdays, but for the latest one I decided to make a change and baked some birthday cupcakes instead.  They're just vanilla, chocolate ganache topping with white chocolate stars on top.

Lol thanks Cheesy

I made the stars by drawing around a star-shaped biscuit cutter onto some greaseproof paper, then turning the paper over and piping melted white chocolate onto the back.  Then I put them in the fridge to cool, and once they were hard it was easy to remove them with a palette knife.  They keep well in an air-tight box in the fridge, so I tend to do a few dozen each time to keep around for when I bake.

I'm visiting my parents right now so I don't have the recipe for the chocolate ganache to hand, but I'll look it up when I get back home and post it up here.
