I am glad they went steam punk with this one.... but I gotta say, up until this point I was fine, even elated with their choice of books. But I realllly love anna karenina. Hopefully the steam-punky goodness will make up for it!

Another great video of Steampunky goodness, on exhibit at the Museum of the History of Science at Oxford. Oh, to be on the right side of the Atlantic!

Hey Wulf thanks for the link, it looks interesting! -I'm on the right side of the Atlantic but had no idea the exhibition was even on!

I was lucky enough to see some of the items on display in Oxford at a weekend event in Lincoln called The Asylum, and at a geek convention in London in October  Cheesy if anyone gets the chance to go, I can't recommend it enough, based on what I saw- if I wasn't so busy with uni I'd have been on the first train down to Oxford on opening night   Cry

Finally making progress. The medium item done except for lining (still looking for some suitable material. Had some blue snakeskin that I thought I might use, but it really doesn't go. Sorry, Ralph!) and the small has at last moved out of the sketchbook. The large project was stalled but I had a couple of brainstorms at work yesterday and now know exactly what to do with it. Cutting and sewing tonight and I only have to make yet another trip to Tandy Leather on Saturday for hardware (I should just open an account there!) and I'm back on track. Of course my brilliant idea means making parts from scratch that I could have just bought if I'd thought of it earlier, but mine will be so much better!

I had imagined, naively, that I would mail out a week early since it has to go all the way to Australia, but I'm afraid it looks like I'll be right at the deadline. As I always seem to be. Sorry again, Ralph!

Awww, so no blue snakeskin for me? (joking of course).

I am finished 3 items and am curently dealing with one that has gotten a strange life of its own and is threatening to leave without me. If only I could stop thinking. I think I'm going to be seanding right on deadline too, so thats fine by me. Thanks Wulf!

I think I will be finishing everything this weekend, and sending out Monday, with any luck. The 1st is quickly approaching!
