i finished the item that i was working on yesterday-it came out really pretty and elegant Smiley

also, i need help guys. i have an old printer and i am trying to pull of the keys but they are attached to a metal base that needs a lot of prying to take them apart. also, any suggestions on how to safely put holes in them? ive never really used power tools before

Best way to pull them apart is gently (sorry!)

but a Dremel should work to drill holes in them.... or a tiny drill bit in a regular drill, just use a low speed setting...

I am the Lorax who speaks for the trees, which you seem to be chopping as fast as you please.

I went out tonight to hit up my favorite art supply store (Pearl!!!) to find that it was going out of business!!!! And because I guess the employees didn't give a crap, they closed early tonight. *sigh* I'm SO SAD! UGH!  Put a damper in my plans. I'll just have to get what I was looking for online, but its just not the same. And walking into a place like AC Moore or Michaels is just ... convenient when you need something. But walking into this place was like ... a pleasure. A little piece of awesome. 3 entire floors of awesome. And its gone. Sad  *pout*

I thought I was going to get so much done today, but I already have to stop because a search of all the likely hiding places has failed to turn up that bottle of Atom Wax that I know I have, so it's off to Tandy Leather to get more. On the positive side, I did find a full jar of rubber cement that I didn't know I had!

i'm doing the same thing- making the same project for both this swap and wayward victorians- and it's for that reason that i can't face handsewing anything, i've got to go home this weekend and use my parent's sewing machine  Cheesy
