The Steampunk Circus Swap

gallery: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=334745.new#new

Have you ever imagined how awesome it would be to have bears riding elephants while shooting with ray guns at seals that were jumping through flaming hula hoops? Well, for those of you who have, this swap was made for you. This swap combines both the love of Steampunk/Victoriana with the whimsicalness of the circus.
Some common thoughts that may be running through your head is, well, what can I make for this swap? Well, the possibilities are endless! Lets say you are not very into the circus but you love Steampunk- your partner has the option of crafting items to go along with your Steampunk ensemble, and has the option of not adding circus like elements to it. For all we know, you may decide to wear these items to the circus and therefore it goes along with the theme. Along the same lines, if your partner is more into the idea of the circus, than you may craft things that a Gentleman or Madam would like to see in the said circus.
Bottom line is, however you wish to interpret this theme is up to you! Just make sure to be clear with your partner and to have good communication.

This is a 6point swap, and for people who do not like the point system, a small, medium, and large swap. I expect communication once a week until you have both sent and received so that there are no flakers!

I'm not a big fan of the circus, unless it's cirque du soleil Smiley But I do LOVE steampunk! And I'm so glad sendouts aren't until February! For signups you mean December, right? Cause it says november (11) right now), and maybe add tshirt size or measurements to the survey?

Love Steampunk.... absolutely HATE the circus. Sad So unless there is someone else willing NOT to do anything with the circus feel (either receiving or sending) I'm going to have to pass.

I really don't remember anything being mentioned about a circus in the discussion topic. I guess I'm just a little confused.  Undecided I'll be sending in my info probably tomorrow if there are more people who are leaning toward more steampunk than circus just so no one is disappointed (ie I can't sew or knit but I make jewelry and recon like a beast, lol).

hey guys, your items dont have to be circus themed at all! they can just be steampunk-thats why i put it as interpret it as you will. and im gonna fix the date now, lol.
im sure there are people who will be more into one theme than the other and i would be happy to match you up accordingly-just make sure to put how much you hate the circus in the questionaire-oh, and the circus could be cirque du soleil inspired-it doesnt have to be a traditional circus.

I sorta envisioned a creepy gothy steampunk circus with small machines flying around, rats driving minature steamships, and repoman genetic opera wardrobe/soundtrack. you may interpret the theme any way that you like!
