Ooh fun stuff! So on the Kona card, is it actual pieces of material, or just printed on there??

It's actual fabric.  It looks like they wrapped it around rectangles of card stock or something similar, then attached them to the folder.  I got mine here: http://cvquiltworks.danemcoweb.com/shop/

-A baby quilt with an applique of my employer's logo and company name (an intended gift). Applique done, sandwich assembled, quilting begun. This is my current active project.

-A King size quilt using applique of two sock monkeys wrapped around me and my husbands initials. Pieced, and backing attached, but not quilted. I realized I forgot to prewash and and a test on the corner shows the red bleeds, so I'm still debating whether I should disassemble almost the whole thing to wash the pieces separately and then reassemble, or if I should just try my luck washing it with some synthrapol and hoping for the best.

I am SO excited.  I went and picked up a Little Gracie II this morning, so I will be working on cleaning and rearranging the sewing room so I can quilt up a quick lap quilt on my new quilting frame!  YAY!

I haven't been working on much due to classes. Now that I'm free, I'm working mostly on two really different projects. I've only got room for two Smiley. And they have to be small.

First is a textile portrait of the Puritan theologian John Owen. I've done a few of these-they're worked with paintsticks over a dark background and require multiple layers and hence usually take several months to complete.

The second thing I'm working on is a baby quilt in a stacked coin pattern in mostly greens, pinks and yellows. Sewed the top for that one in one day-instant gratification, I love you.

I'm jealous, both of the frame and the room. Dang! Post pics!

Will do!  I checked the assembly today and it all looks good, so hopefully, I can get something on it tonight or tomorrow.
