A friend for all you lonesome little sisters out there!

This little fellow is a reproduction of the Big Daddy doll featured in the Bioshock 2 trailer, straight from Rapture to your digital front door!  Sorry for the creepiness, but it really goes with the territory-- take a look at the original inspiration from the game:

And this is the doll from the trailer, for reference:

Hardest part *by far* was the baseball head, in particular the embroidery.  The stitches were actually really tough to place (especially because the ball wasn't perfectly spherical in the first place-- oops).  But, many stripy legs and hot glue globs later, he's all finished and ready to protect!

That's really cool.  What is in the little package on his back that you stuck the nail through?  (I mean, besides the bottle cap)

Thank you!  The tank on his back is just a crocheted tube filled with poly beads.  I used a bunch of hot glue to make the nail stay stuck (plus I cut off the pointy tip with some pliers).

Cute! How did you get the push pins to stay and not fall out? It doesn't look like you glued them...

Any chance that you will be writing up a pattern for this? This is something I would definitely be willing to pay for.

This is so cool! I started one of these dolls but never finished it. Now you made me want to pick it back up! I love BioShock!
