I've wanted to try this, but I'm always paranoid that the mod podge is gonna let go where it is holding the washer to the paper.

When in doubt, use more glue!

Longtime lurker who wanted to come and say thanks for this idea.

I've made my own version for a friend for Christmas, i've christened it the "make a wish" necklace.

I wanted to post a picture here, but the site says i'm too new Smiley

There are pictures at my flickr site though

http://www.flickr.com/photos/57858818@N07/

After finishing each washer I painted the back with black and some of the edges have slight smudges of black, i cleaned them up after these pics were taken.

So thankyou preg_replace('/(.{19})/', '$1 ', 'onescrappinjohnson...because') of your tute, i've plucked up the courage to become an active member of a site i've loved forever!

Would love any feedback anyone might have for me.

Aw, thanks for the lovely comments guys, was a bit nervous about posting pics, as I'm not exactly artistically gifted Smiley

Sparrow, I threaded a waxed shoelace type-thread throught the washers one way, tied it through a large clear glass bead then threaded it back again through the washer hole.

The beads don't show up and block the designs that way, also it makes the washers secure and stops them from sliding up and down the thread.

Hope that makes sense.

Lark, thankyou! I know i'm going to have a lot of fun on here, can't wait to grow in confidence in myself and in what I make, I know this is a very supportive place Cheesy

Ilove this idea. I'm gonna do it, but I think I'm gonna try to make it double-sided. ^_^
