Swap name:  True Colors Photo Swappy
Craftster member who is organizing this swap:  Kendaljay
Sign-up date range:  April 23rd thru May 6th
Date to send item by:  June 11th ***Let me know if you think this should be extended***

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): nope!

Non-U.S. participants allowed? yup!!

All ages allowed? Or 18+?  all ages......

Organizer is aware of current list of "suspended traders"
list and will not allow those members to participate: YES!!!

Organizer has been a member for at least 1 month and will
make sure that every participant has been a member for
at least 1 month: YES!!!

Details of swap:
This is just like the "Week in the life Photo Swappy" (thanks Princess Dukki   Smiley) except you will have a color theme.  Each person will pick 2 colors that they want pictures taken of and i will pair everyone up randomly (so no trying to pick which color you want to take pics of!) and you will take pictures using only that color (or the majority), then put it a photo album/journal/blank book/file folder/any kind of container, and send it to your partners.  I would like everyone do a minimum of 24 pictures for each album.  I did a little less, because trust me, it's hard finding 36 orange things to take pics of!! Wink The colors to choose from are: Yellow, Orange, Pink, Red, Green, Blue, Purple (i am leaving out black, brown, & white because i think they would be too hard)  i understand that this kind of swap can get a little expensive, especially with the cost of 2 different sets of film, so if that is the only thing stopping you from joining, please let me know!  i can pair you so that you send 1 color (doubles are a little cheaper) to 2 different people or even just one set (although you will only get 1 album back).  So please!  I will try to work with you!  If you are sending within the USA, Delivery Confirmation is REQUIRED!!  Other than that, go crazy!  And of course.......COMMUNICATE!!  Remember, I'm not a mind reader (usually) so if you are having problems/issues I need to know!!

***Edited to add in amount of pics***

I just sent my info too but I have one question: How many pictures should there be?

edited to add: in the day-in-the life swap it was a 36 minimum, but I recall that the ideas thread for this one say 24. Either way is good but we should all have the same minimum number in mind.

If people use digital cameras, do they need to use photo paper to print out?  I just ask because I would hate to get nice photo prints made and then receive a book full of inkjet-on-paper printouts.  For anyone who isn't aware, you can get really nice and cheap prints from ofoto.com from digital, too.  Just asking...

that's a very good point...yes i think everyone should use photo paper if they are using a digital camera.  i got a pack of 100 sheets, 4x6, hewlett packard yesterday at target for $11.99 and 10% off that.  so it's not real bad.  thanks xmelinda!  Wink

I'll be taking the card from my digital to get professionally printed. I just don't like how pictures come out on normal printers as much and I think it's a waste to take great pictures and have the print be substandard.
I have a shop by me that does them for a reasonable price though so it's not a big problem for me.

Yesterday, to celebrate the end of my exams, my parents made a nice contribution to a macro lens that I have had my eye on for aaages. I bought it yesterday and I am in love...I can't wait to be given my colours!
