I got a lip balm kit from www.aussiesoapsupplies.com.au it came with instructions and suggestions for recipes using varied ingredients... I thought getting the kit might be the way to go since I've never made lip balm before! I used the microwave to melt the beeswax and cocoa butter and it was easier than trying to melt chocolate! (I always burn chocolate that way) I made 6 little pots and I have to say when I first got the kit I thought it didnt look like it would make much but I only used half of the ingredients and it made heaps!

This was fun and inspiring! Next stop coconut and mango mp soap! I'm obessed with coconut!

I found that the balm was sticking to my jug... so I nuked it again!

The kit

Coconut lip balm flavoured spoon! hehe

Awesome! Would you recommend that company? If you think it's good I can add it to our suppliers list, I don't think we have any Australia suppliers there. Isn't it crazy how many lip balms a tiny bit of ingredients can make?? Grin

Well it was the first time I purchased stuff from them but I was pretty happy with it! Plus there aren't very many Australian suppliers to start with... and these guys had a way bigger range than any other store I was browsing! They're actually on the opposite coast to me and I got my order pretty quickly so yes I think they are worthy of a supplier list for Australians!

Lip balm is on my "future projects" list. Coconut sounds really really good. I love coconut anything: shampoo, soap, lotion etc.   Smiley

I really wish my computer had a scratch and sniff screen right now.  Wink

Ohhhhh! I want to try this project. My lips are always so chapped in the winter.

Thanks for the inspiration.
