Ahem.
This marbleized peacock-inspired velour beauty reached out to me from the racks at Salvation Army. I spent $2.99 (50% off sale on Black Friday), and it was mine...to destroy!
But first: DH remembered the guidelines, and hastily reminded me of the "before" photos we still had to take. He rushed out of the room, and returned like this:

To. Rock. It. Can you see the metallic sheen? It was made to show off chest hair. Can you stand it!?

I couldn't. So I cut it up. And transformed it into a laptop sleeve:

Here is DH, on his way to work, looking smart carrying his laptop in its elegant peacock-inspired color motif. Let's have a closer look, shall we?

Note, if you will, the irony in turning the "sleeve" of the original shirt into the flap over the top of the laptop's cozy home. But wait, there's more.

Note, too, how easily DH slides the modern machinery out of its lair. Please allow DH to point out the detailed stitching on the bias-tape edging. DH?

Thank you, darling. Note how the scalloped stitching complements the undulations in the fabric's design. Oooh. Ahhhh.
If, however, you don't actually have a laptop (as we don't), or if you get hungry (as DH did), and you find yourself, umm...

...eating the legal pad ontowhich you taped an apple icon, well, then...

You can always use the laptop sleeve as a hat.
