Educator's Board/Non-Lame Lesson Plans

Oooo....I am totally be in for this! I am going to be student teaching this Fall and currently writing a ton of lesson plans. It would be great to hear what everyone is doing or brainstorm with the my fellow Craftsters.

This would be really good.  I think lesson plans would be a little un related but i class all the resources i make as craft and it would be great to see other people's ideas for those.

Or perhaps a 'crafted for kids' board - there's one for pets!!!

Hi! I don't know if this idea got posted already, but it would be great if there was a teaching/classroom ideas board with (craft)projects, classroom displays and such.
I teach at an elementary school and this board would be a great inspiration! thanks for considering!

I have seen it on here....somewhere. I think it's a great idea. I have so many resources I'd love to share in exchange for new ideas. I taught school for 10 years and now home-school my own kids. As I see it you can never have too many resources. If this doesn't take off, PM me and I'd be happy to share what I have with you. d

This is a good idea.  I read in the paper the other day about a retired teacher who is banking that teachers will pay other teachers for their ideas that will be for sale through his website.  It seemd like he wants it to work like etsy does.

I'm not sure how I feel about this.  I like the idea that teaching ideas are more freely available.  When I was teaching I had to pay for my own classroom furniture, books, and supplies.  Thank goodness people shared their ideas freely, because I had to eat and pay rent too.

Yep, I think this would be a great area to share resources! There are lots of companies in the UK that you can buy resources from, but it's nice to share with like minded folk rather than have to go through the whole publishing and copyright drama!

I teach secondary art and have masses of worksheets, lesson plans and artist profiles which I'd love to share!

I think an Educator's Board would be cool but not focused on lesson plans per say....there are lots of places that do that.  I would like a board where you could post pictures of things you have made for or done with your class.  Like reading areas, bulletin boards, organization etc.  It helps to see how other people are doing things!

I know it's been a while since this was originally posted, but I would LOVE to see a board for educators. I just got a job as an K-3rd grade art teacher (leave replacement) and the district I work in is a huge supporter of the arts. We are not allowed to do any holiday-related crafts, but we have all of the supplies for printmaking, bookmaking, and lots of other great projects. Walking into my classroom is like walking into Michaels!  I feel so lucky!

I would like to integrate some of the amazing craft projects I have seen here on Craftster with some of the more fine-art based projects I do. I think I board for lesson plan-friendly crafts would be so wonderful!

Hey! just posting that I STILL love this idea.

Craft for ya'all:  Gift for mom (or anyone else)
Suplies:
Body wash
Starbucks bottles
Markers
Contact paper

make your own simple body wash as a class (GREAT SCIENCE and math LESSON)
Then pull out all those starbucks bottles (you know you cant part with them!)
Cut out contact paper to cover the lid (kids can decorate it with markers)
Put the contact paper ovet the bottle top
Fill with body wash
Tie a nice ribbon around the neck of the bottle and attach a small tag (tag makes a fun kids craft)
